Thun Resource (flying the Dutch flag), the first in a series of eight product tankers in the "Resource Efficient Class," was delivered to Thun Tankers. She has been in service with Nynas AB since February 2nd for an extended period. Thun Resource was technically managed by MF Shipping Group and built by Scheepswerf Ferus Smit BV.
Adaptive propulsion to minimize energy usage, readiness for shore electricity connection, UPS battery pack, the latest hull design, and the newest and most resource-efficient machinery were some examples of the vessel's new features. The eight ordered R-class vessels were part of Thun Tankers' fleet renewal program, carefully tailor-made to meet and exceed the client's future demands.
